After 24 years of rescuing and re-homing animals STARescue has recently inherited a substantial legacy after the death of an old friend of mine. 

This legacy is being used to start a new project to set up an animal sanctuary. At present, all animals are kept in several centres and foster homes, but a new sanctuary would allow us to keep them all under one roof. Once up and running, the sanctuary will offer improved facilities for the animals with a much needed low cost clinic as well as an education centre, offering voluntary work under supervision within the community, community service placements, and placements for work experience and college students to learn educational skills in animal welfare.

Obviously, starting such a large venture means that we are now looking for additional funding.
